Tanzania Cotton Board is a regulatory body established under the cotton industry Act No.2 of 2001 whose functions are provision of regulatory, development and promotion of services to the cotton industry in Tanzania. The board is looking for qualified, young and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions.
POSITION; SENIOR ACCOUNTANT II (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
•           To prepare accounting systems
•           To check accuracy of financial reports
•           To analyse and recommend on the financial and management reports on budget, income and expenditure
•           To verify accounts receivables
•           To prepare Fixed Assets Register
•           To cross check cheque list-against voucher list
•           To control and monitor expenditure
•           To respond to Audit queries
•           To monitor and control corporate plan and budget
•           Prepares and updates pay roll and data sheet

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or Commerce from recognised
University /Institution with CPA (T), ACCA and any other recognised professional
qualifications. At least five years of working experience.

The candidate must have good communication skills, fluent in English and Kiswahili, self-motivated individual and must be computer literate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
•           To compile evidence relevant for court cases involving the board
•           To assist in taking charge of documents and correspondences of already assigned cases
•           To assist in dealing with legal routine correspondences addressed to the Board
•           To file and appear for proceeding in courts
•           To assist in administering compliance to the terms of agreements and contracts
•           To compile a list of amended legislations, regulations and rules
•           To maintain an updates database of court decisions
QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of Degree in Law (LLB) from recognized University /Institution who has passed a recognized practical legal training or undergone internship programme recognized by the Attorney general.

Carrying out inspection of cotton buying posts and recommending the issuance of cotton

COTTON INSPECTOR II (19 POSTS)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist on monitoring cotton cultivation activities in a specified area.
Assist by ensuring that standard grade sample boxes approved by the Board are placed at all buying posts.
Assist on monitoring production, processing and marketing costs of cotton.
Assist by ensuring that all seed cotton delivered at the buying posts and ginneries is correctly graded and free from any foreign matter contamination.
Assist on monitoring of cotton buying activities and ensuring that rules and regulations are adhered to.
Assist by collecting and analysing data and providing reports on purchases, deliveries, and ginning and cotton grade.
Qualifications
Holder of agricultural diploma and/or Bachelor Degree in Agricultural or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
Science
The candidate must have good communication skills, fluent in English artJ Kiswahili, self-motivated individual and must be computer literate
Duty station: Mwanza
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cotton Classer ll shall be assiqned to study under specific guidance of a qualified Cotton Classer I,and learn duties and responsibilities of a Cotton Classer I for a period of not less than 12 months.
Qualifications
Holder of a Diploma and/or Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science or its equivalent from recognized Institution.

To undertake minor mechanical repairs,
To take vehicles due for routine maintenance/repair to the appointed service agent; To maintain motor vehicle log books;
To make pre-inspection to the assigned vehicle prior travelling and report mechanical damages/defects;
To ensure safety and cleanliness of the vehicle at all times;
To ensure that valid documents and permits are acquired prior commencement of any journey;
To report promptly accidents or incidents involving the vehicles to the relevant authority.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with class "C' valid driving license, of not less than three years without causing accident and should possess Trade Test Grade 11/ Drivers Grade II Certificate from a recognized Training Institution.At least five years work experience in related fields.
